    With Father’s Day approaching and the weather heating up for new adventures, Flowfold is prepping for another busy season.

     

    The Flowfold brand was born when Charley Friedman was a sixteen years old high school student, working summers at a sail loft. When his leather wallet fell apart, Charley  built himself a new wallet from scraps at the warehouse. Vowing not to use another vulnerable wallet, Charley used a material he knew would last: racing sailcloth made from Kevlar and Carbon Fiber.


    After graduating college Charley teamed up with friend Devin McNeill to start Flowfold. Together they built a plan for growing Flowfold around three core values:


    1.  Building durable, long-lasting, and lightweight carrying gear made from quality, responsible materials.


    2.  Building products for peak experience, allowing adventurers to enjoy themselves without worrying about what they are carrying.


    3.  Supporting local workers. Helping generate jobs and inspire other entrepreneurs to create a livelihood through resourcefulness and creativity.

      Charley and Devin first met when they were 8 years old as opponents on the soccer field. Nick Power (Flowfold's first employee) was introduced to Flowfold during a surf session at Higgins beach.

      I look for durability in wallets for my husband. He works outside, fishes, and hunts, so his wallets need to be able to handle it all.

      I look for something that is tough and durable. something that can hold all my cards and cash and coins. and it has to have places to put pictures of my little ones and hubby. and it is good if it is ‘teething baby approved’

      For me, as a woman, I look for something all-inclusive. It can hold cards, money, checkbook, pictures, etc. For my significant other, I need something durable because he works outside, and the wallet is always in his back pocket. He carries leather, and like tri-fold or bi-fold. It would be nice to have something resistant to dirt and sweat, and built to move with him.

      when I asked my hubby what he most desires in a wallet, his criteria were that it has compartments/card slots that suit his needs without feeling bulky, and that it was well-made out of durable materials.

      I think there are many key components to a great wallet. It has to look cool-that’s obviously the first requirement. :) Then, it has to be slim enough to fit in the back pocket without making you sit off-kilter, while still able to hold a set amount of cards and usually a $20 bill for good measure. I love that your product is made in the USA! Way to go, plus they look awesome!

      Finding a wallet that my husband likes is difficult. I’m always bummed when his wallet wears out and I have to go on a hunt for something that I think he might like. And sometimes I fail.       My husband likes thin, but big enough to fit what he needs. Bulky wallets can put your back out if alignment if you sit on them too often.

      My hubby needs something sturdy, capable of holding a lot without being too bulky, and water-resistant. He works in a greenhouse all day and often gets wet, so sometimes so does his wallet. This looks great!

      my husband definitely looks for durability. He had one of those alluma-wallets for 3 years! After it quit staying closed, he went back to a normal leather wallet. He would love this!

      As a female, I look for a long cute wallet that has lots of card slots, and a separate zip opening for change and misc storage!

      I hate bulky wallets! I don’t carry a purse so I like small, easy to carry wallets. So does my husband. He can’t stand bulky wallets in his back pockets. It’s hard to find a durable, lightweight, thin wallet. He would love this!

      What my dad and my boyfriend have both said that they look for in a wallet is a wallet that can fit into their pants pockets without being too bulky or falling out of their pants pockets. They also both said they are looking for a wallet that is able to hold all their credit cards/cash without having to fight with the wallet to pull the credit cards out. It appears that a lot of men are having a lot of problems with trying to find the perfect wallet that meets their needs.
